What We Turn Away

Most weeks, the honest answer is no.

It probably seems like every capital source says yes right up until the term sheet changes. So here is where we say no, in writing:

  • Consumer or primary-residence loans. Business-purpose investment financing only. No exceptions, no referrals around it.
  • Deals that only pencil at the best-case exit. If the downside doesn't service the debt, we show you the math and pass.
  • AI builds without a diagnostic. If you arrive wanting a specific tool, we'll ask what it's supposed to fix first. Sometimes the answer is a process change that costs nothing.
  • Anything a bank will do cheaper. When bank debt is the right answer, we say so and point you to the bank.
How It Runs

One call. A diagnosis. A number.

Every engagement starts with the Foundation Call: 30 minutes, free, with the founder. You leave with the diagnosis whether or not you hire us. If there's a build, we scope it on that call and quote it after, so you see the exact price before any work starts. If there's a deal, it's answered in two business days. Nothing is quoted from a brochure, and nothing is padded to fill a retainer.

What would the operation have to look like twelve months from now for this year to have been worth it? Bring that answer to the call.

Built by hand first.

I started in medicine. In 2008 I proposed and built the University of Pittsburgh's PA program. It's still enrolling students. Then I spent five years closing 632 loans myself, one file at a time, before I was allowed to design anything. As SVP I built the operating architecture that took the shop from $40M to $147M a year in production.

Today I build and buy: co-founder of an AI implementation firm, Senior Managing Partner at AI Agency Group, and Senior Managing Partner for the business buy side at M7A PE Group. I'm also a senior advisor to CareIntel on user interface, marketing, sales, and go-to-market, and to Red Bear Care on marketing, negotiation, and go-to-market.

Operators ask me the same question in different words: "Will this still be running when you leave?" It's the right question. Everything on this page is the answer. The 2008 program is still running. The lending architecture is still producing. Nothing we build for you depends on us staying in the room.

Since Iron Rock opened its doors, we've taken more than $515 million in sponsor loan requests through underwriting-grade review, as of July 2026.
